Prestige Care and Carson Tahoe Health release updated plans for new senior living memory care center

  Prestige Care, a leader in exceptional senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, released further details of its joint plan with Carson Tahoe Health to construct a new senior living community specializing in comprehensive transitional rehabilitation and memory care.  Carson Tahoe Health donated the land for the new center, which is scheduled to break ground at 10:00 a.m. on Sept. 27, 2016. The state-of-the-art care center will open for service near the end of 2017. The upcoming two-story, 88,000 square-foot center will have the capacity to treat skilled nursing and rehabilitation patients, and assisted living memory care residents. Carson Tahoe Long-Term Acute Care Hospital Earns Nevada’s 1st CIHQ “Center of Excellence” Designation

Carson City hospital recognized for providing exceptional care by the “Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality” Carson Tahoe Health’s Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) has been granted a 3-year accreditation by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ), and the LTACH is now officially designated as Nevada’s only CIHQ “Center of Excellence.” The accreditation process is voluntary and includes a rigorous, unannounced on-site survey administered by CIHQ. Accreditation is given only to hospitals that enhance the care they provide by addressing patient-centered needs and measuring the quality of the care they deliver against national standards.
