  Carson Tahoe Health would like to recognize the Rotary Club of Carson City Sunset for generously donating three 2,000-pound concrete benches, located around the main entrance at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. These spacious benches offer additional outdoor seating options for patients, visitors, and the community to enjoy. The benches were donated in honor of Dr. Rex Baggett, charter member and past club president; Al Escalante, charter and founding member and past club president; and Toni Langson, past club president. Global Women’s Health Experts Visit Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center

  Today, a group of women’s health experts from around the world visited Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center as part of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). Participants from Kiribati, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan visited with Carson Tahoe Health physicians, nurses and staff to specifically learn more about the hospital’s approach to delivering superior healthcare to women. Local Cancer Patients Share Journey through Art

Carson Tahoe Cancer Resource Center hosts public display featuring artwork created by local cancer patients and their loved ones. Carson Tahoe Cancer Center, an affiliate of Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah, is hosting an art show through Friday, December 18. This touching collection of over 25 pieces, created by patients, survivors, caregivers and loved ones, represents an inspiring journey of hope through paintings, mixed-media, music, photography, and quilt-work. Claire, 8, is one of the artists who submitted a drawing called “Together,” depicting a happy time in spring with her mom, who is currently receiving care at Carson Tahoe.
