During National Wound Care Awareness Week, June 1-5, local wound care experts shine the spotlight on chronic wound prevention and the most advanced treatments. Carson Tahoe Health & Sierra Surgery Hospital Awarded Healthcare Quality Accreditation

Hospitals recognized for providing state-of-the-art quality of care Carson Tahoe Health and Sierra Surgery Hospital have been granted a 3-year accreditation by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ). The accreditation process is voluntary and includes a rigorous, unannounced on-site survey administered by CIHQ. Accreditation is given only to hospitals that enhance the care they provide by addressing patient-centered needs and measuring the quality of the care they deliver against national standards. Prior to 2015, The Joint Commission had served as Carson Tahoe Health system’s official healthcare accrediting agency for the last 60 years.
