The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently announced that Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center has achieved a 4-star rating for an acute care hospital, out-ranking the national average of 3-stars. An upward movement in this ranking scale is not an easy achievement as the data behind these star ratings lag anywhere from 6 to 18 months behind and the core measures are consistently changing.
