Carson Tahoe Health Receives Prestigious March of Dimes Award for Achieving Outstanding Birthing Outcomes

Carson Tahoe Health’s Women & Children’s Center has been recognized by March of Dimes, an industry-leading infant mortality research & education group, for reducing the number of elective inductions and C-sections performed before 39 weeks of pregnancy to less than 3% of all deliveries. Studies show that babies born just a few weeks early have higher rates of hospitalization and illness than full-term infants.
