What Is Social Distancing And How Do I Practice It?

By now, everyone has heard the phrase “social distancing.” But what is social distancing and how do we practice it in our everyday lives? On Monday, March 16, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the White House issued a joint advisory recommending against any gatherings of 10 or more people. As we have recently seen in our community, this has led to closures and/or cancellations of public schools, universities, libraries, museums, places of worship, restaurants, bars, concerts, sporting events, malls, movie theaters, etc. This encourages voluntary “social distancing” for the safety, health, and well-being of our community.
