Carson Tahoe Health Receives Emergency COVID-19 Response Grant from William N. Pennington Foundation

Carson Tahoe Health (CTH) recently received an emergency COVID-19 response grant in the amount of $98,960 from the William N. Pennington Foundation. The grant will contribute to needed equipment for Carson Tahoe during this dynamic virus outbreak. Since its creation in 1989, the William N. Pennington Foundation has served as a resource to the community during times of hardship. The purpose of the William N. By now, everyone has heard the phrase “social distancing.” But what is social distancing and how do we practice it in our everyday lives? On Monday, March 16, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the White House issued a joint advisory recommending against any gatherings of 10 or more people. As we have recently seen in our community, this has led to closures and/or cancellations of public schools, universities, libraries, museums, places of worship, restaurants, bars, concerts, sporting events, malls, movie theaters, etc. This encourages voluntary “social distancing” for the safety, health, and well-being of our community.
