Carson Tahoe Celebrates First COVID-19, Intubated Patient Release Since Pandemic Began

August 18, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Carson Tahoe Health wheeled its first COVID-positive, intubated patient, Linda McCain, out of the Regional Medical Center and back home to her family. Staff gathered in an Honor Walk to cheer on McCain, who had been using a ventilator to assist in breathing and fighting the severe respiratory illness, COVID-19. Click Bond Rallies to Provide Critical COVID-19 Response Support

Ever committed to community, Click Bond, a local manufacturing company, created their first-ever employee giving the campaign to support Carson Tahoe Health’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They raised a total of $5,110, which supported the purchase of life-saving technology and equipment needed to protect our patients and our caregivers from the spread of disease. Click Bond’s Community Outreach team gathered early in April to identify a way to help our community through these trying times. They wanted to do something impactful and immediate, as a swift response to the pandemic would better protect our community in the long run.
