Carson Tahoe Health Welcomes Susanne James

Carson Tahoe Health is pleased to welcome Susanne James, who joined the organization on January 5, 2026. She brings extensive experience in infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement. Susanne is excited to collaborate with teams across the system. She looks forward to strengthening best practices and supporting continuous improvement.

Before joining Carson Tahoe Health, Susanne served as an Infection Preventionist and Manager at Renown Health System. In this role, she partnered with multidisciplinary teams across multiple facilities. Together, they enhanced infection prevention and patient safety programs. Her background also includes work as an epidemiologist and tuberculosis controller. In these roles, she collaborated with healthcare and community organizations. This work supported communicable disease control initiatives and emergency preparedness programs at both the county and state levels.

Susanne is a Certified in Infection Control (CIC) professional and a licensed medical technologist. She looks forward to connecting with colleagues across the organization. Susanne James welcomes opportunities to work together in support of safe, high-quality care for every patient.
