What lead you to choose a career in nursing? I grew up in a multi-generational home with my parents, maternal grandparents and maternal great grandfather. My great grandfather was a physician and at the ripe age of 6 years old, he allowed me to make house call visits with him. He said that I loved to talk to his patients. While he wanted me to become a doctor, I insisted that I wanted to be a nurse. When I was 16 years old, my 12-year old brother was diagnosed with a life threatening cancer. U.S. News & World Report Ranks Carson Tahoe Health #1 for “Best Hospitals” in Nevada

A doctor’s visit through your phone or computer? Coming right up! Who would have thought that in a split second the ways we provide healthcare to the masses could change so dramatically? With the onset of Covid-19, hospitals and physician practices had to adjust quickly and adapt their processes to provide uninterrupted care to their patients while practicing social distancing. Carson Tahoe Health Receives Emergency COVID-19 Response Grant from William N. Pennington Foundation

Carson Tahoe Health (CTH) recently received an emergency COVID-19 response grant in the amount of $98,960 from the William N. Pennington Foundation. The grant will contribute to needed equipment for Carson Tahoe during this dynamic virus outbreak. Since its creation in 1989, the William N. Pennington Foundation has served as a resource to the community during times of hardship. The purpose of the William N.
