Tucked inside Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, the Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary Gift Shop is much more than a place to pick up a thoughtful item. It is a reflection of community, compassion, and a long-standing commitment to supporting patient care.

A Legacy of Service Since 1952

The Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary was established in 1952, originally as a volunteer blood transportation service. What began as a single act of service quickly grew into something much greater.

Over the decades, Auxiliary members have continued to identify ways to support patients, caregivers, and the hospital as a whole. Today, the Auxiliary plays a vital role in fundraising efforts that directly contribute to Carson Tahoe Health’s mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Their work is rooted in one simple idea: when a community comes together, it can truly make a difference.

More Than a Gift Shop

Operated by the Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary, the Gift Shop has grown from a small, traditional hospital storefront into a unique boutique experience for patients, families, team members, and the broader community.

Whether you are welcoming a new baby, celebrating a cancer survivor, or simply hoping to brighten someone’s day, the shop offers something for every occasion. Visitors can browse a wide selection including:

• Greeting Cards
• Fresh flowers and balloons
• See’s Candy
• Stuffed animals
• Candles and books
• Seasonal gifts and handcrafted items

The shop also hosts special sales throughout the year, often aligned with holidays, making it a favorite destination for both meaningful gifts and everyday treasures. It is conveniently located in the main lobby.

Upcoming Event: Wine, Cheese & Dessert Train

Looking for a fun way to support the Auxiliary? Join us on May 2 for a memorable experience aboard the historic Virginia & Truckee Railroad. The event is $60 and runs from 10AM – 3PM departing from the Carson Eastgate Depot.
