Karen Fisicaro, Registered Dietitian at our Cancer Center, is a shining example of this commitment. Karen recently renewed her five-year specialty certification in oncology nutrition, a distinction that reflects advanced expertise in supporting patients through one of the most critical aspects of cancer care.

Her impact extends far beyond the walls of Carson Tahoe. Karen also actively contributes to the Nevada Cancer Coalition and plays a recognized role in the state’s 2026–2030 cancer plan. Through this work, she is helping shape the future of cancer care across Nevada, ensuring patients have access to better resources, education, and support.
