New Human Anatomy Exhibit Closer to Becoming Reality Officials at the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) announced that Carson Tahoe Health is donating $100,000 to help fund the museum’s newest gallery entitled Inside Out: an Anatomy Experience. Inside Out is a 2,500 square-foot permanent gallery that will allow visitors to dive into the curiosities of human anatomy and learn more about their own bodies. Carson Tahoe is taking proactive steps to prepare and protect patients in response to the heavy smoke conditions in our area from the King Fire.  Air quality is expected to remain moderate to poor for the next several days. Precautions being taken include consolidating entrances at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center (CTRMC) and Carson Tahoe Specialty Medical Center (CTSMC). These inpatient care areas have been equipped with air scrubbers and fans which have effectively maintained good air quality within the facilities. The Nevada Hospital Engagement Network recruits and provides training and technical assistance to individual Nevada hospitals to facilitate the adoption of evidence-based clinical practices that improve patient care and safety. Prestige Care, Inc., and Prestige Senior Living L.L.C., leaders in exceptional senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, today announced that they are making plans to join with Carson Tahoe Health to expand quality senior care services and offer comprehensive memory care to Carson City residents and their families.  As a first step in the relationship, the organizations will develop a community with 40 units for  memory care services on the Carson Tahoe Specialty Medical Center campus.  Construction will begin in 2014.
