Since joining Carson Tahoe Health in 2020 as Director of Finance—and later assuming the CFO role—she has guided the organization through a complex and ever-evolving healthcare landscape with steady hands and a clear vision.

Katie’s leadership has been instrumental in ensuring the long-term sustainability and community-centered mission of Carson Tahoe. From strategic budgeting and financial planning to close collaboration with operational teams, she approaches every challenge with a deep understanding of both numbers and people.

A Career Built on Purpose

Katie’s career in finance began in the investment world before she transitioned to healthcare in 2011. Prior to joining Carson Tahoe, she served as CFO of Acute Care at Renown Health. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Montana, a Certified Management Accountant designation, and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University.

At Carson Tahoe, Katie is known for her hands-on leadership style. She regularly shadows team members throughout the organization to better understand their work, build trust, and align financial strategies with frontline needs.

A proud Nevadan, Katie’s connection to the region runs deep. Her commitment to Carson City extends beyond the walls of the hospital—she also serves on the board of Northern Nevada Sports and Recreation, reflecting her dedication to family-friendly initiatives and community well-being.
