Jacob Watts Receives Sunflower Award for Compassionate Leadership and Service

Nominated by a healthcare educator and clinical partner, Jacob was recognized for consistently demonstrating Carson Tahoe Health’s mission and values through every interaction, from coordinating student placements to assisting patients and visitors throughout the hospital.

According to the nomination, Jacob goes beyond his role each day by answering call lights, helping patients and families navigate the hospital, and fostering meaningful connections between students, instructors, employees, and community partners. The nominator shared that “Jacob consistently demonstrates operational priorities including safety, kindness, compassion, expertise, competency, and efficiency,” and noted that his positive attitude and teamwork create a pleasant learning environment for everyone involved.
