At Carson Tahoe Health, our mission extends far beyond hospital walls, thanks in large part to the dedicated volunteers and advocates who give their time, talents, and hearts to support our community. This year, the Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary proudly recognized Tami Stein as the 2026 Auxilian of the Year, honoring her exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to advancing healthcare in our region.
Tami serves in a unique dual role within the Carson Tahoe Health family. She is a valued member of the Carson Tahoe Health Foundation team. In this role, she works closely with donors, community partners, and fundraising initiatives that help expand programs and services across our health system. At the same time, she is an active and passionate member of the Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary. She also serves as a vital connection between the Auxiliary, the Foundation, and the broader organization.
According to Auxiliary leadership, Tami consistently goes above and beyond. She advocates for the needs of Auxiliary volunteers and the Gift Shop while helping communicate the hospital’s needs to members. In addition, she champions the Auxiliary’s initiatives within Carson Tahoe Health. Her dedication has strengthened collaboration. It has also improved support for volunteer programs. In addition, it has enhanced resources that directly benefit patients, visitors, and the community we serve.
“Tami is an incredible example of what it means to serve with compassion and purpose,” shared Auxiliary leadership. “She is always willing to listen, advocate, and find solutions that help both the organization and our volunteers succeed.”
The Auxilian of the Year award was presented during the Auxiliary’s May membership meeting. Fellow members gathered to celebrate Tami’s many contributions. Her recognition reflects the impact one person can have. It shows what is possible when someone is dedicated to building connections, supporting others, and strengthening the mission of Carson Tahoe Health.
Please join us in congratulating Tami Stein, our 2026 Auxilian of the Year, and thanking her for the countless ways she helps advance healthcare in our community with expertise, compassion, and heart.
