Carson Tahoe Employee Donors: May Spotlight

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on the importance of mental health and well-being. At Carson Tahoe, our commitment to mental health extends beyond the care we provide—it’s reflected in the generosity of our employees who donate to the Carson Tahoe Foundation to support patients and families.

This month, we’re proud to feature two Employee Donors, Jill Gosting and Cory Brewer, whose contributions are helping create brighter futures for those facing mental health challenges.

Jill Gosting, MBA, BSN, RN, PMH-BC

First Episode Psychosis, Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Community Outreach

Jill has been an Employee Donor since 2021, driven by her passion for mental health and her belief in the power of collective giving. She shares:

“I donate to the Carson Tahoe Foundation because collectively we can make a huge difference if many folks are willing to give. I am passionate about mental health, and I appreciate that Carson Tahoe is making a difference in the community. I want to give back because I have been helped along the way. We never know when we might need a boost from another person. Carson Tahoe Foundation is great because it can create positive outcomes with small gains. I have seen how every amount makes a difference!”

Jill’s dedication to Behavioral Health Services and her contributions to the Foundation underscore her unwavering commitment to breaking down barriers and fostering hope for those navigating mental health challenges.

Cory Brewer

Procurement Coordinator, Supply Chain Management

Cory became an Employee Donor in 2022, directing his donations to the Cancer Resource Center while holding a deep appreciation for mental health initiatives. He explains:

“I give because sometimes life can feel dark—and if my donation can bring even a little light to someone in need, then it’s more than worth it. When we all give, we multiply that light. Together, we have a real chance at making a bigger difference.”

Cory’s perspective highlights the importance of community in creating meaningful change, especially for those facing the challenges of mental health struggles.

Thank You to Jill and Cory

Jill and Cory remind us of the vital role we all play in supporting mental health and well-being in our community. Their generosity and compassion are a testament to the incredible work being done at Carson Tahoe to provide hope and healing.
