This Independence Day, the Carson Tahoe Independence Day event will make that legacy even more visible.
On Saturday, July 4, Carson Tahoe Health is honored to host the final destination of the Freedom Cruise America 250. Hundreds of patriotic vehicles will travel through Carson City before arriving on our campus. The event will feature the raising of a spectacular 30-by-40-foot America 250 flag alongside Mayor Lori Bagwell, community leaders, and residents.
Selected for its prominent location overlooking the capital, Carson Tahoe Health will serve as the home of this historic flag. It symbolizes a gateway to Carson City. As one of the first landmarks travelers see when entering the city, our campus has long represented compassion, resilience, and service. The America 250 flag will further reinforce that sense of arrival while honoring the pioneering spirit that defines our community and nation.
As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, Carson City is launching a year of commemorative events. These include the new America 250 mobile app from Nevada Day, Inc. The app makes it easier for residents and visitors to participate in celebrations throughout the year.
We invite our community to join us for this special Carson Tahoe Independence Day event. Whether you are participating in the Freedom Cruise or simply stopping by, you can enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments. You can also connect with neighbors and witness the raising of this historic flag. Together, we will honor our nation’s past and celebrate the pioneering spirit that moves our community forward. We will also recognize the values of service, resilience, and compassion that unite us all.
