Welcome Dr. Swetha Wolfson to Carson Tahoe Health

Carson Tahoe Health is proud to welcome Swetha Wolfson, DO, to our Behavioral Health Services team. Dr. Wolfson is a board-certified psychiatrist with dual certifications in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, specializing in the care of youth with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr. Wolfson completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro University Nevada. She then completed her Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.

Her passion for psychiatry grew from a lifelong interest in the brain and its influence on emotions and behavior, combined with a strong commitment to helping others. “I was inspired to pursue child and adolescent psychiatry due to my interest in supporting the pediatric population and families through key stages of development,” she explains.

Dr. Wolfson describes her approach to care as well-rounded and holistic, always considering the multifaceted needs of each patient. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as Nevada’s Learn the Signs, Act Early Ambassador through the CDC, collaborating with agencies across the state to promote early childhood developmental awareness.

When she’s not working with patients, Dr. Wolfson enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and exploring her creative side through crafts.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Wolfson to Carson Tahoe Health. Her expertise and dedication will be an invaluable resource to our patients, families, and community.  Dr. Wolfson is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, please call (775) 445-7756.
