We’re excited to welcome Kassidy Garland, MSN, ACNP-AG, to the Carson Tahoe Health team! As a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner, Kassidy is bringing her passion for pain management to the Carson Tahoe Pain Institute, where she will work with Dr. Ross Jenson.
Kassidy earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her interest in pain management grew during her time working in the operating room, where she saw firsthand how pain can affect every aspect of a person’s life. She was drawn to the field because of its holistic, multimodal approach—combining medications, procedures, mental health support, and strong patient relationships to improve quality of life.
When it comes to patient care, Kassidy describes her style as empathetic and collaborative. She believes in looking at the full picture and working closely with patients and fellow healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans that work best for each individual.
Kassidy is also a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, reading, and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
