At Carson Tahoe Health, exceptional care extends far beyond our clinical teams. Dedicated volunteers make this possible by giving their time, compassion, and energy to support patients, families, and staff each day.
During National Volunteer Week, Carson Tahoe Health proudly celebrated these incredible individuals. The team hosted a special volunteer appreciation lunch in their honor.
Today, Carson Tahoe is supported by 128 volunteers and 10 therapy dogs, each playing an important role in creating a more welcoming and compassionate experience for those we serve. From greeting visitors and assisting in family waiting areas to supporting clinical departments, cancer services, spiritual care, shuttle services, pet therapy, and more, our volunteers help make meaningful connections across our health system.
Their impact can be felt in both big and small moments, whether it’s offering a comforting conversation, helping someone navigate our campus, or bringing joy through the presence of a therapy dog.
This year’s celebration was also an opportunity to recognize two extraordinary volunteers who have dedicated an incredible 40 years of service to Carson Tahoe. Their long-standing commitment reflects the heart of volunteerism and the deep connection they have built within our organization and community.
