Carson Tahoe Health proudly celebrates Janelle Hoover, whom the Carson City Chamber of Commerce named a 2026 Woman of Distinction.

Since 2020, the Chamber Board has honored Women of Distinction during Women’s History Month each March. To date, the Chamber has recognized 43 women, and it will honor 11 more on March 25. The award celebrates women who continue to make a meaningful difference. They demonstrate professional excellence, volunteerism, charitable contributions, and leadership that strengthens Carson City.

March is Women’s History Month in the U.S., and March 8 marks International Women’s Day. The 2026 theme, “Give to Gain,” highlights how investing time, mentorship, and advocacy into women’s advancement strengthens entire communities.

Janelle, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Carson Tahoe Health, focuses on inpatient and crisis behavioral health services. In Particular, She has been instrumental in expanding adolescent behavioral health care and advancing youth mental health awareness across the region. Beginning her Carson Tahoe career as a physical therapy representative, she is now an integral member of the senior leadership team.

Furthermore, this recognition builds on Janelle’s previous honors, including her recognition as a Remarkable Women Award recipient, and reflects her continued commitment to compassionate leadership and community well-being.

We are proud to celebrate Janelle and the impact she makes every day for our patients, families, and community.
