Carson Tahoe Health is proud to welcome Andrew Stevens, DO, to our surgical team. A board-certified general surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Stevens brings a wealth of experience in both civilian and military medicine.

Dr. Stevens earned his medical degree from Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his general surgery residency in Chicago. With degrees in biomedical engineering and bioengineering from the University of Utah, he combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to patient care.
Prior to joining Carson Tahoe, Dr. Stevens served as a general surgeon at Silverbow Surgical Associates in Butte, Montana, performing nearly 1,500 major surgeries and over 1,100 endoscopies. His scope of work has included complex procedures from robotic, colorectal and vascular surgery to thoracic and trauma care. He has also held key leadership roles, including as Surgical Department Chair and ICU Surgical Director.
A former U.S. Air Force Flight Surgeon, Dr. Stevens has provided care in both domestic and deployed settings, including Kandahar Afghanistan and Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
Outside of the OR, Dr. Stevens is a lifelong learner and adventurer. Whether he’s playing piano, running marathons, or scaling mountains, he brings energy and enthusiasm to everything he does.
