Carson Tahoe Health

Welcome to Our New Providers!

At Carson Tahoe Health, we’re proud to welcome new faces who are committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care to our community. These skilled professionals bring a wealth of knowledge, diverse experience, and a shared dedication to supporting our patients on their healthcare journeys. Please join us in giving a warm welcome to the newest members of our team!

Shannon Weaver, PA-C – Rheumatology

We’re excited to welcome Shannon Weaver to our Rheumatology team. Shannon earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from the University of Utah and is a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). She brings a patient-centered approach to care and enjoys building relationships with those she serves, learning about what motivates each individual to be healthy. When she’s not working with patients, Shannon enjoys mountain biking, skiing at Mt. Rose and Palisades, doing Pilates, and rock climbing at Mesa Rim. She also loves spending quality time with her husband, Vadim, and their cat, Ruby.

Lana M. Hofeldt, PA-C – General Surgery

Joining our General Surgery team is Lana Hofeldt, a Physician Assistant with a deep personal connection to surgical care. Lana holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Alderson Broaddus College in West Virginia and a Bachelor’s Degree from Marshall University. Having faced her own surgical challenges growing up, Lana is passionate about helping patients navigate the often-stressful surgical process with empathy and guidance. A West Virginia native, Lana recently relocated to Nevada with her husband (whom she gets to work with daily) and their four beloved dogs—three miniature schnauzers (Piper, Charlie, and Lucy) and one spoiled Frenchie named Stella. Outside the clinic, Lana enjoys church, baking, hiking, mountain biking, and caring for others.

Carrie Barrier, FNP-C – Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT)

Rounding out our new additions is Carrie Barrier, a Family Nurse Practitioner in our ENT department. Carrie’s educational journey includes an MSN from Texas Women’s University, a BSN from Grand Canyon University, an ADN from Cisco College, and a BS in Animal Science from Oregon State University. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) who believes in taking the time to create holistic, individualized care plans with each patient. Outside of work, Carrie enjoys spending time with her son and two dogs, as well as riding and showing cutting horses—a passion that reflects her energetic and dedicated spirit.
