More Than a Team: How Our ICU Family Showed Up in a Big Way

At Carson Tahoe Health, we talk often about being a family—and every so often, a moment comes along that perfectly captures what that truly means.

ICU RN Brianna Bleich has been a steady, compassionate presence in our Intensive Care Unit. Known for her dedication and quiet strength, Brianna works side-by-side with a tight-knit team that faces some of the most demanding situations in medicine. Among those colleagues is Dr. Faisal Siddiqui, one of our Intensivist physicians.

When Brianna began thinking about who she wanted to officiate her wedding, one name immediately came to mind—Dr. Siddiqui. True to his generous spirit, he didn’t hesitate. He became ordained solely so he could stand beside Brianna and her now-husband, Jack Stevenson, on their special day.

It wasn’t just Dr. Siddiqui who showed up in support—ICU Charge RN Ashlyn Bagwell, another close friend and teammate, was also there to celebrate, as well as Dr. Siddiqui’s wife, Dr. Sarah Ashraf, a hospitalist here at Carson Tahoe.

These moments remind us that what we build inside the hospital walls doesn’t stay there. The bonds formed during long shifts, critical cases, and shared triumphs often grow into lifelong friendships.

To Brianna and Jack—congratulations from your entire Carson Tahoe family. And to our ICU team, thank you for showing us every day what compassion, commitment, and connection really look like.
