Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center announces that Minden Emergent Care has officially transitioned to Minden Urgent Care effective June 1, 2026, expanding access to convenient, same-day care for residents of Minden, Gardnerville, and surrounding communities.
Located within Minden Medical Center at 925 Ironwood Drive, Minden Urgent Care is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and offers walk-in care with no appointment necessary. Minden Urgent Care is Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center’s third urgent care location, further expanding access to timely healthcare services across the Quad-County region.
This transition to an urgent care model is designed to better meet the healthcare needs of the community by providing convenient access to treatment for common illnesses and injuries when patients need it most.
Patients visiting Minden Urgent Care can receive treatment for conditions including cold and flu symptoms, sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections, minor cuts and sprains, minor fractures, rashes, sports physicals, work-related injuries and more.
“Our goal is to make it easier for patients to access the right care at the right time,” said Michelle Joy, President & CEO of Carson Tahoe Health. “Minden Urgent Care provides convenient walk-in access seven days a week while connecting patients to imaging, lab, primary care, and specialty services all within the Minden Medical Center. This transition allows us to continue meeting the healthcare needs of Douglas County while improving access to affordable, high-quality care close to home.”
Carson Tahoe Medical Group’s Primary Care Clinic in Minden is accepting new patients for preventive and ongoing healthcare needs. Carson Tahoe accepts most major insurance plans, including Prominence Health commercial and Medicare Advantage plans.
