If you are like us, and love a delicious smoothie to start the day, then keep reading! When winter rolls around, smoothies can become a little tough. A lot of fruit we might be used to is out of season and can be less flavorful, making our delicious smoothies a little blander than we’d prefer. But fear not! We are sharing our top winter-friendly smoothies using fruits that are in season and readily available. Happy blending!

 

Raspberry-Pomegranate Smoothie

 

1 ½ cups pomegranate juice (low sugar)

2 cups fresh (or frozen) unsweetened raspberries

2 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt

 

Mix ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Shape-Shifter Smoothie

 

½ cup fresh (or frozen) blueberries

1 tbsp. cocoa raw cocoa powder

½ avocado (this makes the texture AMAZING!)

½ small banana

1 handful baby spinach or other greens

Pinch of cayenne

1 tbsp. raw honey

2 cups water

 

Mix ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Ginger-Peach Smoothie

 

2 cups fresh (or frozen) unsweetened sliced peaches

1-cup plain yogurt

½ cup apricot nectar

¼ cup organic ginger ale, chilled

2 tbsp. raw honey

¼ tsp. minced fresh ginger

 

Mix ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Classic Mango Lassi Smoothie

2 cups peeled, pitted and chopped mangoes

1-cup plain yogurt

2 cups water

¼ tsp. ground cardamom

2 tbsp. agave nectar
