Honoring Dave Mason’s Legacy Through Youth Mental Health and Creativity
Carson Tahoe Health received widespread regional media coverage this month following the dedication of the SOUND IDEAS outreach vehicle in honor of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame musician and Northern Nevada resident Dave Mason. The dedication celebrates Mason’s lasting legacy and his support of Carson Tahoe Health’s mission to expand prevention-focused youth mental health programs through the Vehicles of Change initiative.
The SOUND IDEAS vehicle, a mobile stage and podcast studio, brings music, storytelling, and hands-on communication experiences to schools and community organizations across Northern Nevada. During the ceremony, Mason was recognized as Carson Tahoe Health’s inaugural Champion of Creativity, and the Dave Mason Legacy Fund was introduced to help sustain and expand youth mental health programming for future generations.
